Biographical Information:

Ruth D. Marcus is Counsel with the Toxic and Mass Tort team in the New York office of Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer P.A.  As the daughter of an asbestos exposed shipyard worker, she has successfully represented hundreds of workers who have suffered from occupationally induced asbestos related disease.  In addition, she has litigated other toxic tort and defective product cases concerning repetitive stress injuries, silicone breast implants and a mass tort involving fraud.

An activist involved in occupational health and safety issues, Ruth currently serves on the Occupational Health Surveillance Advisors Board of the New Jersey Department of Health and lectures before labor unions regarding occupational health and safety issues.
